7.2.4. Propeller
Information
Incaseafoldingpropellerisused,thegeartransmissionhastobeinreversegearwhensailing.
Withaxedpropellerusedithastobeinreverseorneutralgear.Axedpropelleronreverse
producedanextrabitofdrag,butcauseslessnoise
Caution
» Inordertoavoidtouchingandbeinghurtbyhigh-speedmovingparts,neverrunamotor
with the cover removed.
» Soastoavoidmovingparts,neveraccesstheenginespacewhenenginesarerunning.
» Never remove the guards from moving parts of engines unless the engine is not running.
» Reduceyourspeedwhennavigatingathightrafc,withlimitedvisibility,roughwater,people
or structures in the water nearby.
» Take care about other boaters and adhere to rules and regulations.
» Do not stay on the platform aft or on the fore deck when the craft is under way
» Check regularly that the the exhaust does contain cooling water.
» Stop if you have any doubts about the exhaust system.

Ifafuelleakorfumesaredetected,donotstarttheengine.Ensureallcrewleavetheboatand
haveaqualiedpersonrepairthefaultassoonaspossible.
7.2.5. Engine cooling circuit
Thisyachtfeaturesadualcircuitcoolinginternallywithfreshwater,recoolingintheenginethroughseawater.The
connections are all clamped with double stainless-steel hose clamps. Make sure the cooling circuit is protected in cold
winter periods to avoid damage.
