N-S5.8 Test log (Trend file)
As in the case of Live Trend’, the ‘Test’ function also generates a xxx.tnd
file. The stored data can be displayed on the screen afterwards and be
printed out if necessary.
See: N-S4.3 ‘Trend Recall’ for further information.
Each Test (Trend) file is stored under a unique name.
- File name
Default:
- structure: serial number_date_test_index.tnd
e.g.: 00151-10002-002-032_15.04.2002_Test_f.tnd
User-defined name:
Enter the Trend file name in the ‘Project Data form dialogue box.
- structure: 15characters_date__test_index.tnd
e.g.: Office12-1-OG ZUL_12.04.2002_Test_a.tnd
- Storage directory (path)
Default:
As a subdirectory of the PC-Tool program directory:
...\VAVTrend
User-defined path:
The user can select the destination directory in the menu
‘EXTRAS ¦ OPTIONS... ¦ NMV-D2M’.
All trend files are then stored in that directory.
N-S5.9 Read Test log (Trend Recall <F6>)
See N-S4.3 Trend Recall / <F6>
Project Data form <F4>
This allows the project-specific and trend-
specific data, such as file names, to be en-
tered.
The data is used by the log, print, trend and
test functions. The
data entries remain valid
until they are changed or deleted.
-> Blank fields are allowed
Practical tip File clearing
If the trend function is used often a large
number of trend files will be accumulated.
Therefore, after plotting, it is advisable to:
- transfer the data to a project directory
- delete the data if it is no longer needed
