VTA.
In the
event of invalid altitude or

VNAV ARM

disengage, leav-
ing the current engaged mode active
and allowing rearming
of
the
VNAV
mode later.

ALT
(hold current reference alti-
tude)

Illuminates when the
ALT
mode is engaged by the
ALT

through altitude arm and altitude cap-
ture. Flashing indicates

(ALT) ARM

mode is engaged by the
ALT SEL
pushbutton or Climb,
Descent or
VNAV
modes. It allows a
compatible vertical mode to be used
to approach the selected altitude. In
the event of sustained invalid altitude,
ALT ARM
mode will disengage leaving
the current engaged mode active and
allowing rearming of the
ALT ARM
mode later.

CLB
(climb at specified profile)

Illuminates when climb mode is en-
gaged by the
CLIMB
pushbutton.
Flashing indicates
