13.Commissioning and settings
13.1.General information
The following points must be observed before commissioning:
Corresponding of the mains voltage with the input voltage of the inverter.
Check that the motor has the correct type of connection (star-delta connection).
Check all wirings connections.
Check the mechanical integrity of the driven system.
Make sure, that all safety regulations are followed.
13.2.Adaption to operation
The ramp-up and rampdown times must be adapted to the acceleration capacity of the three-phase
motor and the inverter. If the acceleration time is too short, the motor demands more current from the
inverter than the latter can provide. This may lead to the inverter being switched off (current limit or
peak current). An additional external braking chopper must be connected at the terminals +/if
extreme regenerative feedback of the motor is expected (braking operation).
It is possible to limit the maximum output frequency attainable with the setpoint potentiometer by means
of the maximum frequency function. Normally, the output frequency is 50 Hz. The field weakening and
the related torque-drop must be included in planning for output frequencies higher than 50 Hz.
Using the minimum frequency function, it is possible to set the minimum output frequency which is the
lower limit for setpoint input via the setpoint potentiometer or external setpoint.
