THREE THREAD OVERLOCK
(5mm-7mm - Left Needle) Seam Finish
Fabric: 2 pieces medium weight wool, 2½” x 5” each
2 strips of bias cut tricot, ¾” x 5” (optional)
Needle: 80/12 Universal
Thread: 3 cones of serger thread
Presser Foot: Standard
• Owners manual pg.___
• Set the serger for a wide 3-thread overlock stitch. (left needle).
• Set all thread tension levers between 3-5 (normal).
• Serge one 5” raw edge on each piece of fabric. Optional: For added support, wrap the fabric
edge with strips of bias cut tricot or water soluble stabilizer before serging.
• Using your BERNINA
®
sewing machine and a standard

” seam allowance, seam the two pieces
of fabric together along the serged edges.
• Press the seam open.
• Trim and mount the sample
