ATTACHING ELASTIC WITH THE
SUPER STRETCH STITCH
Fabric: Cotton or nylon Lycra, 3” x 6”
12” of nylon or cotton elastic braid elastic
Needle: 80/12 Stretch or 11/75 Ballpoint
Thread: 2 cones of serger thread
1 cone of Woolly Nylon
Presser Foot: Elasticator Foot (optional accessory)

• Attach the 2-thread adapter to the upper looper. Note: This is an optional accessory for the 700D.
• Set all thread tension levers between 3-5 (normal).
• Following the instructions in the Owner’s manual thread the serger for a Super Stretch Stitch using
Woolly Nylon in the lower looper.
• Adjust the stitch length to 4mm.
• Turn the presser foot presser knob clockwise to increase the pressure.
• Attach the Elasticator Foot.
• Turn the pressure adjustment screw (on the roller guide) clockwise to set pressure as desired.
• Raise the roller guide and insert the elastic into the slot at the front of the presser foot.
• Place the fabric under the foot and serge, cutting off the fold.
• Trim and mount the sample.
