CORDING FOOT
Bias Ruffle
Fabric: Medium weight fabric, 3” x 8”, cut on bias
Needle: 80/12 Universal
Thread: 2 cones of serger thread
1 cone of Woolly Nylon
Nylon fishing line, 15-20 lb. test
Presser Foot: Cording Foot (optional accessory)
• Owner’s manual pg.___
• Set the serger for a narrow 3-thread overlock stitch (right needle) with Woolly Nylon in
the upper looper.
• Set the thread tension levers as directed in the Owner’s manual.
• Pull the rolled hem lever towards you.
• Adjust the stitch length to 1.75mm.
• Set cutting width at 2 (normal).
• Attach the Cording Foot.
• Following the direction in the instruction leaflet for the Cording Foot, insert the nylon
fishing line through the guide.
• Place the fabric under the presser foot and serge along one 8” edge stretching
the fabric edge as you sew.
• Return stitch length and thread tension levers to normal.
• Return the rolled hem lever to normal sewing position.
• Trim and mount the sample.
