Solution: Open the Gi Fly mobile app: “Social>My Gi Fly>Update.”
Alternatively, click “Settings>Check for Update.” Ensure that your smart-
phone is connected to the bike prior to initiating an update.
4. If you are using iOS, the user’s Bluetooth is not on.
Solution: Please go to “Settings>Bluetooth>turn on” in your phone.
5. Your bicycle is out of the range.
Solution: Please go closer to the bike.
6. The bicycle’s battery is o.
Solution: Please turn on the battery by pressing the button under the
frame. See the Quickstart guide (Section 1.13).
7. The bicycle is not activated.
Solution: Please go to Section 9.C.
8. Another device is causing interference.
Solution: Please turn o all Bluetooth devices near the bicycle.
9. You just updated or installed the rmware but the app can not nd your Gi Fly.
Solution: Turn your bike’s battery on and o by pressing the button on the
underside of the frame next to the charging port.
iv. I can’t lock my bike.
1. Your smartphone is not connected to the bike.
Solution: Please open the app and connect to the bicycle.
2. You have not updated the Gi Fly mobile app.
Solution: Update the latest version of the Gi Fly mobile app via the
App Store/Google Play.
3. Firmware is not updated.
Solution: Open the Gi Fly mobile app: “Social>My Gi Fly>Update.”
Alternatively, click “Settings>Check for Update.” Ensure that your smart-
phone is connected to the bike prior to initiating an update.
4. The locking lever on the frame is not in the right position.
Solution: Please, see Section 11.E.i. to identify the correct position of the
locking lever.
5. The bicycle is unfolded.
Solution: In order to lock your Gi it must rst be in its folded position. Please
go to the Section 9.E.i.
6. If the auto-lock is turn on, your phone may not be within the bike’s range.
Solution: Please go closer to the bicycle. The auto-lock mechanism only
works within a specic range, which is determined by the type of smart-
phone you have.
v. I am unable to activate my Gi Fly.
1. Your bike has already been activated.
Solution: Once you have activated your bicycle, it will remain activated only
to your phone. You may transfer your bike to another owner so that they
