9. Maintenance
9.1. Cleaning
Print Bed Surface
Make sure that the main switch (S) is turned o !
Clean the print bed (H) with a damp, so , and lint-free piece of cloth before print-
ing. Do not use any solvent-based detergents!
Use ethyl alcohol to remove heavy soiling. Provide adequate ventilation when us-
ing ethyl alcohol. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and
other sources of ignition. Do not smoke at working space.
Extruder and Nozzles
Fine filament threads can occur during the printing process and should be re-
moved a er. These threads can also get caught in the hotend ventilation. Regular-
ly check the ventilation and clean if necessary.
To clean mechanical parts from dust, spray components with compressed air.
Display
Clean the display (E) with a damp, lint-free piece of cloth. Do not use solvent-based
detergents!
Printer interior
Make sure that the main switch (S) is turned o ! Clean the interior space if neces-
sary. Open the service hatch (J) to remove remaining filament from interior.
9.2. Lubrication
Make sure that the main switch (S) is turned o !
Do not use any scratchy tools/materials for cleaning. Damages in the surface
can lead to faulty print results.
Fire danger from bed cleaning. Never clean the print bed while the print bed
heating is active! Let the surface cool down before cleaning. Completely re-
move any cleaning agents a er cleaning.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
Provide adequate ventilation during and a er cleaning the print bed. Leave
the door open a er cleaning the print bed.
