You hear a signal tone at the se-
lected volume.
If you do not want to hear any
signal tones, set the volume to
zero.
"BEEP OFF" appears on the dis-
play.
Changing the presetting of the
power-on volume ( On Volume)
You can confi gure the device so
that the playback after switch-on
always starts with the volume set
here. For this purpose, the "On
Volume" menu item must be high-
lighted.
Press the softkey
< (next to
"On Volume").
The presetting for the power-
on volume appears.
Adjust the desired volume
using the volume control

or the rocker switch
3 (incre-
ments 1 to 50).
If you open the "Volume Set-
tings" menu again, the "On Vol-
ume" menu item is highlighted.
Restoring the volume at switch-on
( Last Volume)
You can confi gure the device so
that the playback after switch-on
always starts with the previous-
ly selected volume. For this pur-
pose, the "Last Volume" menu
item must be highlighted.
Press the softkey
; (next to
"Last Volume").
"Last Volume active" briefl y ap-
pears on the display. If you
open the "Volume Settings"
menu again, the "Last Volume"
menu item is highlighted.
