Setting a position marker
You can store your current vehicle position at any time, even during active route
guidance.
To store your current vehicle position,
Mark the menu item
POSITION MARK
in the DSC menu.
Note: You can also activate the position marker with the hotkey by
allocating the position marker function to the hotkey. For more in-
formation, refer to “Hotkey” in the chapter entitled “Set-up”.
Press OK 8.
Storing the position marker
After you have pressed OK 8, a selection menu will appear. Here you can
choose whether you want to enter a name for the position marker or return to the
menu in which you set the position marker.
If you select the option
SHORT N.
and enter a name for the position marker, it
will be stored automatically in the destination memory.
Select the menu item
SHORT N
.
An edit menu which allows you to enter the short name will appear.
Enter a short name,
Select the symbol and press OK 8,
or
Press OK 8 for longer than two seconds.
The position marker will be stored in the destination memory under the short
name entered.
If you select
BACK
, you will return to the menu in which the position marker was
set and the position marker will not be stored.
