Whenever the house is equipped with an domestic energy source such as a solar photovoltaic system,
the driver can select to preferably charge when the domestic energy source generates electricity, yet
having a mechanism to shift back to grid power so as to accelerate charging if there is not enough
domestic energy when it comes close to the planned time of departure.
The Wallbox Pro can be connected to a Smart Home System so as to optimize home management
holistically: the Smart Home System can start and stop an EV charge as well as allocate power to
the Wallbox Pro in accordance with the priorities and customer preferences which were set during
configuration. The Smart Home System can display weather forecasts for the coming days and
home equipment status. The Smart Home System and the Wallbox Pro can be configured so that
commands can be manually triggered from the Wallbox Pro touch screen.
The Wallbox Pro can be connected to the Internet so as to:
– communicate the Charge Detail Records to a service provider
– send e-mail with event reports to the Wallbox Pro owner or installer.
The touch screen interface is user friendly and allows for an intuitive configuration and navigation.
