6. Connection
6.1 Electrical connection
DANGER
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION OR ARC FLASH
Verify that the Wallbox Pro is protected with a circuit breaker and a 30 mA type A residual current
device, installed in the switchboard. Systems that automatically reset the Residual Current Device
are prohibited (standard IEC 61651-22).
Verify that these protections and the supply cable are dedicated to the Wallbox Pro and comply
with applicable electrical installation codes.
Do not commission nor use the Wallbox Pro if the measured ground resistance does not comply
with applicable electrical installation codes.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
HAZARD OF EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
Do not touch the electronic boards, use electrostatic discharge devices before working inside the
Wallbox Pro.
A surge protection device should be connected close to the Wallbox Pro according to the Keraunic
level of the installation area (*). The surge protection device must be connected between the
circuit breaker and the Wallbox Pro, close to the Wallbox Pro.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.
(*) For Russia, Australia and New Zealand, the surge protection device is mandatory.
The current transformers (CT) shall be selected in accordance with the installation characteristics/
capabilitie and required performances. They shall comply with the requirements set forth in the
power meter installation instructions.
CT1, CT2, CT3 current transformers are connected to the charging station power meter.
All installation cases require all metered feeders to be co-located at the same place. If not co-
located, the Wallbox Pro energy management features will be limited to the possibilities enabled by
installed metering points.
All installation cases require that electrical installation is sized and protected according to the
maximum power rating, taking into account utility feed and on-site generation.
No other installation cases are supported.
