8 REPLACING PARTS
8.1 GENERAL INFORMATION
Do not hesitate to replace parts and/or components if they are not able to guarantee
safe and reliable operation.
Never improvise repairs.
The use of non-
original spare parts not only voids the warranty but can compromise
gear unit operation.
8.2 DISASSEMBLING A GEAR UNIT EQUIPPED WITH HOLLOW OUTPUT SHAFT
Remove the device that restrains the gear unit in an axial direction.
The machine’s shaft can be extracted directly in-situ using a hydraulic device, or by using the
device shown in the figure:
1 - Machine's shaft
2 - Hollow output shaft
3 - Key (not supplied)
4 - Threaded bar (not supplied)
5 - No. 4 screws (not supplied)
6 - Thrust bearing (not supplied)
7 - Torque arm (not supplied)
During the extraction process observe the maximum values specified in the chart and
take care to avoid impact or misalignment.
