10 Decommissioning Drive Components
Before
the
drive
or
a
component is decommissioned, an impact and hazard
analysis must be prepared. This analysis must assess how the
decommissioning affects the safety of the installation.
Furthermore, the impact and hazard analysis must contain a risk assessment
of the process of decommissioning.
On the basis of this impact and hazard analysis, decommission the drive or
component (see also IEC 61508-1:2010, 7.17).
