MODELS WITH DRAIN CONNECTOR:
Fit the rubber tube (long enough to reach the
bar counter drain) to the union located under the
boiler (Pict.1). Unscrew the union by two turns
only and wait until the boiler is completely empty.
Then screw the union back up again.
MODELS WITH DRAIN TRAY AND TAP:
Remove the basin and open the tap (2) located
under the boiler.
Wait until the boiler is completely empty, then
close the tap again.
Switching off
It is best to switch the machine off only if you
don’t intend to use it for more than 8 hours; this
will limit limescale deposits and power usage.
Before turning off the machine perform the
cleaning operations specifi ed in the pertinent
chapter.
• Turn off the cup-warmer heating-elements by
pressing switches.
• Switch off the machine by pressing On/Off
switch.
• Disconnect the differential switch for the ma-
chine and close the water supply tap.
• OUT OF USE
Temporary out of use
If the machine is not going to be used for a long time the following operations should be car-
ried out:
- Do the maintenance operations.
- Disconnect the water and electricity supplies.
- Empty the water out of the boiler, following the instructions below.
Before carrying out this operation make sure that the coffee machine is switched off
(electricity supply at the entrance to the machine disconnected), that the water supply
tap at the entrance to it is turned off and that the water in the boiler is cold (manometer
at the bottom of the scale -0 bars).
- For machines with a small capacity boiler (less than 5 Lt) it is recommended to
change the water frequently. Remove one litre of water every day, taking it from the
hot water tap.
