GAS CHARACTERISTICS
All gas units are tested using local gas sup-
ply. Your unit may or may not operate cor-
rectly on your type of gas. Therefore, the
unit should be checked and corrected if
necessary. See service manual.
DO NOT attempt to use
any other gas than that
specified on dataplate located on the front
panel.

Gas Pressure and Orifices:
• If adjustment of the regulator does not
deliver the correct BTU per hour or if
another type of gas is to be used, con-
tact your local gas supply company for
correct gas pressure and orifice sizing.
Maximum gas supply line pressure:
Natural (G20) Gas: 7” wc (20mbar)
Propane (G31) Gas: 14” wc (37 mbar)
Manifold pressure at test fitting:
Natural (G20) Gas: 4.0” wc (10 mbar)
Propane (G31) Gas: 10.0” wc (25 mbar)

not convertible from one type of gas to

High Altitude:
• For operation at elevations above 2,000
feet above sea level, gas input must be
reduced 4% for each 1,000 feet. Con-
tact your local Broaster Company repre-
sentative for correct orifice sizing.
