8-7. Lock function
DANGER
Wait at least 5 minutes after turning off the power switch and disconnecting the power cord from the wall outlet
before opening the cover of the control box. Touching areas where high voltages are present can result in severe
injury.
When the lock function is set to “ON”, the key operations for
making settings such as the following will be disabled in
order to prevent these settings from being accidentally
changed.
(Examples of disabled key operations)
・ MAX key
・ Initialization ………………… etc.
< To turn on the lock function >
Set DIP switch 1 to ON.
< To turn off the lock function >
Set DIP switch 1 to OFF. (The lock will be canceled and
the functions can then be set.)
8-8. Resetting all settings to their defaults
If the sewing machine stops operating normally, the cause may be that an incorrect setting may have been made for the
memory data by means of memory switches, for instance. In such cases, it may be possible to restore normal operation by
following the steps given below to initialize the memory setting data.
* This setting cannot be carried out if the lock function is on. (For details on turning the lock function off, refer to “8-7.
Lock function”.)
Activating initialization mode

(While pressing the continuous backtack key,
press the power ON switch.)
“in.AL” will appear in the display (1).

(Press for 2 seconds or more)
Once initialization is complete, the “in.AL” appearing in the
display (1) will disappear and normal sewing machine
operation will then be possible.
