Note
Before attempting to upgrade from one software version to another, it is mandatory to
have a license for the new version. See the License Fulfilment Guide (BE 1693) for help
with electronic license fulfilment. After installing the new PULSE version, you must run
the PULSE Front-end Setup program in order to get your front-end firmware updated. See
the ReadMe file for hints, tips and important news about using PULSE.

are supported. If a Windows
®
op-
erating system has been installed at Brüel & Kjær, no password is required.
If you have ordered your system from the factory with complete installation, the settings
will be:
PC Network Identification Computer Name: PORTPULSE
PC IP Address: 10.10.10.50 Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0
1st Front-end/frame IP Address: 10.10.10.11
2nd Frame IP Address: 10.10.10.12
3rd Frame IP Address: 10.10.10.13
This means your system has been set up for a point-to-point configuration.
It also means you cannot connect the system to your in-house network without reconfig-
uring the IP address settings.
