2.2 Instructions for safe operation
Guardagainstmalfunctionsandoperatingerrorsbyalwaysfollowingtheseinstructions
precisely:
• Innocircumstancesmaythemaximumpermittedoperatingpressure(87psi/6bar)be
exceeded.
• Removecombustibleorheat-sensitiveobjectsfromtheareaofthenozzle(1).
• Whenwarmthedevicemustbeputdownonthesupporthoop(18)orworkingconsole.
Itmustnotbelaidonitsside.
Otherwisemeltmayescapeuncontrolledthroughtheventholesandpresentaburn
hazard.
• Neveroperatethetrigger(16)forcibly.
• Protectthedevicefrommoistureanddamp(protectionagainstelectricshock).
• Observetheinstructionleaetforthehot-meltadhesive(protectionagainstprocessing
errors).
• Operatethedeviceonlywiththenozzlepointingdownwards.Itmustnotbeoperated
aboveheadheight!
• Unplugfromthemainsbeforeperforminganyoperationonthedevice(servicing,clean-
ing).
• Thedevicemustbepoweredonlyfromsocketswithaprotectiveconductor.
• Anyextensioncableusedmusthaveaprotectiveconductor.Checkthattheprotective
conductorisundamagedbeforeuse.
• Unplug
fromthemainsaftereachuse.Allowthedevicetocooldowncompletelybefore
puttingitaway.
• Ifyounoticeanydamagetothedeviceorleads,unplugfromthemainsimmediately.
Havethedevicepromptlycheckedoverbyanexpert.Itmustnotbeusedagainuntilit
hasbeenproperlyrepaired(seeSections6and7).
