8 INSTALLATION
8.1 Safety instructions

and uncontrolled restart.
▶ Securethesystemagainstunintentionalactivation.
▶ Followinginstallation,ensureacontrolledrestart.
For control functionI – risk of pilot pressure failure.
WithcontrolfunctionI,thecontrolunitandresetarepneumatic.No
denedpositionisreachedduringapressurefailure.
▶ Toensureacontrolledrestartofthe device,rst apply pilot
pressureandthenactivatethemedium.
Risk of injury due to moving parts in the device.
▶ Donotreachintoopenings.

Risk of injury due to heavy device.
Duringtransportationorinstallationwork,aheavydevicemay
falldownandcauseinjuries.
▶ Transport,installandremoveheavydevicewiththeaidofa
second person only.
▶ Use suitable tools.
8.2 Before installation
• Anyinstallationpositionoftheglobecontrolvalveispossible,
preferablywiththeactuatorfacingupward.
• Ensurethatpipelinesarealignedbeforeconnectingthevalve.
• Notetheowdirection(owdirectionalwaysbelowseat).
8.2.1 Preparatory work
→ Clearimpuritiesfrompipelines(sealants,metalchips,etc.).
Devices with welded connection
NOTE!
For valves with a mounted control unit:
Whenweldingthevalvebodyintothepipeline,thecontrolunit
mustnotbeinstalled.
▶ Uninstallthecontrolunitfromtheactuatorasdescribed
below.
Uninstallthecontrolunitfromtheactuator(ifpresent):
→ Clampvalvebodyintoacollet.
