■ Road speed limit signs that are unclear, distorted, inclined, reflective, partially
blocked or covered will cause the camera's recognition ability to reduce or
failure to recognize them.
Intelligent High Beam Assist System
The intelligent high/low beam assist system (if any) judges the current driving
environment via the camera sensor, and automatically activates or deactivates the
high beams.
■ The user can enter relevant setting interface through multimedia, and activate
or inactivate the function of the intelligent high/low beam assist system.
● The system memorizes the ON/OFF state of the previous startup state by
default.
■ After the function is turned on, when the light switch is in the " " position, the
light meets the conditions and the vehicle speed is higher than 35 km/h, the
system will automatically switch between the low beams and high beams
depending on the current driving environment. When the function is activated,
the intelligent high/low beam assist system indicator on the instrument will
illuminate.
HMA Precautions
■ The intelligent high beam control system (HMA) is an auxiliary function for
lighting control. It is recommended to use this function during driving at a high
speed, but the system cannot be used as a substitute for the driver completely.
The driver should always switch the highlights between high and low beams
according to the requirements of road laws and regulations and depending on
changes of road environment.
■ When the vehicle is in a high dynamic state such as ABS or ESP activated, the
light conversion will be restricted.
■ When the driver turns on the fog lights or turn signals or makes emergency
steering, the light conversion will be restricted.
■ Even if the intelligent high/low beam assist system is turned on and operating,
it may be triggered improperly or not operate due to inevitable environmental
factors and conditions; in this case, the driver should respond accordingly.
Typical conditions are as follows:
● When the driver operates the lever to select the high beams, the driver's
selection prevails.
● Weather conditions such as heavy fog, heavy rain or heavy snow are
extremely unfavorable for driving.
● There are traffic participants with poor illumination (such as pedestrians
and bicycles), railway or waterway traffic near the road, or road sections
with wild animals.
● The environment has strongly reflective scenery (such as traffic signs on
expressway, road surface water reflection, etc.).
● The front windscreen is covered with fog or dirt or blocked by label or
ornament.
