4-5 Driving Auxiliary Functions 153
There may be some difference between the distance displayed on the screen
of all-around view monitor and the distance felt by the driver. Especially when
an object gets closer to the vehicle, the driver should judge the distance
between the vehicle and the object by multiple means.
Cameras should be installed on the front grille, on exterior rearview mirrors
and above the rear license plate. Make sure the camera is not blocked.
To prevent affecting the performance of cameras, avoid directly washing
these cameras when washing the vehicle body with high-pressure water gun.
If there is water or dust on the camera, wipe it off in time.
Do not hit or knock on cameras by any means, because doing so may cause
failure of or damage to cameras.
After the vehicle is started, if the multimedia system has not been fully
started, when the all-around view monitor start button is operated or the R
button is pressed at this time, the all-around view monitor display interface
output will be delayed or "blinking screen" will occur. This is a normal power-
on process when the camera is activated.
Parking Assist System
■ During vehicle reversing, the parking assist system can prompt the driver the
distance between the vehicle and an obstacle through display of indicator on
the multimedia display screen (if any) and the alarm of the speaker. This
system detects obstacles by utilizing sensors.
■ Parking assist system is a method for helping reversing. Observe the
environment behind the vehicle and the surroundings during reversing.
When the vehicle is moving and the speed is greater than 10 km/h, the
parking assist system will stop working.
Do not add any other articles within the working scope of sensors.
Do not wash the positions of sensors with water or steam when washing the
vehicle. Otherwise, a sensor failure will be caused.
Reversing sensor power button
■ The driver can turn on or off the reversing sensor system through the
"Multimedia" → “DiPiLot” → “Parking assist” → “Reversing sensor”.
■ With the vehicle powered up (OK) or the EPB released, the parking assist
system will be activated automatically.
■ With the system on, when obstacles exist around the vehicle, alarm will be
issued. With the system off, no alarm will be issued.
