● A sudden change in ambient brightness, as in or out of a tunnel;
● Unidentified lane lines cast by isolation belt;
● Unidentified boundary lines between roads and roadside grass, soil or
curbs.
Precautions
■ If you have turned on the turn signals for changing lane, the lane departure
warning function will be limited.
■ The lane departure warning function may be limited if the driver drives the
vehicle rolling on a lane line or the lane line is not obvious, too thin, worn,
blurred or covered by dirt/snow.
■ The lane departure warning function may be limited if the lane is too wide or
narrow, the number of lanes increases or decreases, the markings are
changed for a short time such as ramp or expressway exit, or the lane lines are
complicated.
■ The lane departure warning function may be limited if the vehicle is driven on a
steep slope or curved road, the distance from another vehicle ahead is too
close or another vehicle ahead blocks the lane line.
■ The lane departure warning function may be limited when the vehicle bumps
considerably due to road conditions or the driver accelerates or decelerates the
vehicle sharply or turns the steering wheel rapidly.
■ If the windscreen in the visual field of the multi-functional video controller is
broken, the front windscreen of the vehicle is colored, coating that does not
conform to the specifications is added, any object that reflects light is placed on
the dashboard, or any object that affects the line of sight of the camera is
added, the normal operation of the system may be affected.
■ For your driving safety, please do not test the lane departure warning function
privately. The visual field of the multi-functional video controller cannot be
blocked by objects or interfered by strong light. Temporary blocking or strong
light interference of visual field will cause the function to be temporarily
deactivated, and can be re-activated automatically after the visual field is
normal. If it cannot be recovered by itself, please contact a BYD authorized
service provider for treatment.
■ It is recommended to turn off the lane departure warning system in the
following cases:
● When driving in a sporty style
● In bad weather
● When driving through inferior road sections
Lane Keeping System
The lane keeping system (if any) identifies the front lane line through a camera
sensor on the windscreen. When the vehicle speed is higher than 60 km/h, this
system can keep the vehicle in the current lane by controlling the steering system,
resulting in less steering burden of the driver and better driving comfort.
