Before closing a power window, check that no occupant's hand
is placed on the window glass to avoid pinching his/her hand or
fingers and resulting in very serious injuries.
Anti-pinch function (if any)
Anti-pinch function is provided to automatically stop and return the
closing window glass for a certain height once an obstruction is
sensed when the window is being closed.
Initialization of anti-pinch function (if any)
■ If the constant power supply of the start Fe battery is cut off
when the window is being opened/closed, both the automatic
closing function and the anti-pinch function of the window will
not work. In this case, conduct initialization setting as per the
following operations:
Pull up and hold the window control switch to allow the
window to rise to the top position and keep the window
stall at the top position for 0.5s.
When the one-press closing function is used for the
window, if the window rises to the position close to the
upper window frame sealing strip and the upper window
edge undergoes certain resistance, the window will move
in the opposite direction to prevent pinch.
Initializing the anti-pinch function too frequently will result in
overheat protection of the regulator motor.
Do not activate the anti-pinch function by intentionally causing
the window being obstructed by any part of human body.
The anti-pinch function may not work if the window is obstructed
by any object when it is about to be closed fully.
It is recommended that a BYD authorized service provider
should be contacted for maintenance if the automatic closing
function and the anti-pinch function of windows do not work.
