than 0.30V/cell) on
insertion.
Battery may be connected
backwards in the adapter.
Ensure that battery leads are
firmly connected to the
battery.
Apply a Boost.
BATTERY
SHORTED

Battery is not accepting
charge in the initial charge
cycle (the voltage remains
low).
Ensure battery leads are
firmly connected to the
battery.
Battery may be fully
discharged. Recharge battery
in its original charger before
placing it in the analyzer, or
run Boost, (see Boost,
page 38).
Battery may have shorted
cells - if unable to charge in
the original charger, discard
battery.
BATTERY TOO
COLD

Battery temperature is too
cold when inserted. The
battery is trickle charged
until temperature rises
above 5°C
Allow the battery to warm up.
If the battery is non-OEM, the
thermistor may not match that
on the adapter.
