Installing and Removing the CF Card
Although the thickness
is
different between the two types
of
CF
(CompactFlash) cards, the camera is compatible with both types. It
is
also compatible with Ultra
DMA
(UDMA) cards and hard disk-type
cards.
Installing
the
Card

Open
the
cover.

Slide the cover as shown by the
arrow to open it.
Insert
the
card.

As
shown
in
the
illustration,
face
the
label
side
toward
you
and
insert
the
end
with
the
small
holes
into
the
camera.
If
the
card
is
inserted
in
the
wrong_
way,
it
may
damage
the
camera.

The card ejection button will stick out.

Close
the
cover.
e Close the cover and slide it in the
direction shown by the arrow until it
snaps shut.

When you set the power switch to
<
ON
>, the number
of
remaining shots
will be displayed on the LCD panel.

@ The number of shots remaining depends on the remaining capacity
of
the card, image.,.recording quality, ISO speed, etc.

Setting the
[0'
Release
shutter
without
card] menu option to [Disable]
will prevent you from forgetting
to
install a card (p.238).
