7.8.6. Steering Lever
Cover
The steering lever is properly
adjusted
when the machine is properly
shipped
from the factory, so normally there
is
no need to adjust it. If the steering
lever
and links have been replaced, the
steer-
ing lever must be
adjusted.
1. Start the engine, and push the throttle lever to the
[ (HIGH SPEED)] position to increase the
speed of the engine.
2. On level ground, tilt the steering lever for movement.
If the right and left crawlers move forward or
backward when the steering lever is released, the
crawlers must be adjusted.
Before Adjustment
1. Raise the load deck of the truck, and lock the dump
lever to the lock plate.
2. Secure the load deck with the support bar.

3. Remove the cover.
