Storage (Long-term Storage)
8.2 Battery
When disconnecting the cables from the battery, disconnect the (-) terminal first,
and the (+) terminal last; when connecting the cables, connect the (+) terminal first,
and the (-) terminal last.
1. Remove the battery from the machine.
2. Check the battery electrolyte level. If the level is low,
add electrolyte.
3. Store the battery in a cool, dry place.

Reference: When the battery is not being used, it will
remain charged for about 6 months, but if it is charged
before it has been removed, it is possible to extend the
life of the battery.
8.3 Engine
Refer to the engine operation manual for more details about long term storage of
the engine.
8.3.1 Cleaning Air Cleaner Element
Air cleaner
Remove the air cleaner element and clean it.
