6.5 Operating Dump
Load deck
support bar
Falling load deck can cause

Do not raise or lower load deck or
dump
load when anybody is

deck.
Do not discharge load to the slope
valley
side by tilting the bed sideways. The
vehi-
cle may be turned over, resulting in a

ous
accident.

form dumping operation on a sharp slope. The body
becomes
unstable, and it may cause a serious accident. If the dumping operation
must
be performed unavoidably on the slope, operate the vehicle
carefully.

Raising Dump Body
1. Start the engine, move the throttle lever to the
[ (HI)] position, and increase the engine speed.
2. Remove the lock plate from the dump lever.
