3.28 — Muffler Recommendations
Mufflers can reduce discharge gas pulsation and effectively
eliminate vibration problems downstream. They should be
placed as close to the compressor as possible to maximize
efficiency and minimize vibration. Mufflers should be:
• used on all 06E 66 and 99 Cfm compressor models.
• used on all 06E compressors with capacity control.
• considered for use with all 06D 37 and 41 Cfm compressor
models.
• considered for use with all 06D 6-cylinder compressors
with capacity control.
Mufflers can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
