PLU Image Display
The CL7200 can store and display image files. These image files can be attached
to PLU’s for display in the customer display when the PLU is recalled. The images
can also be displayed on the operator’s keyboard.
Optimal Image File Sizes
Adding image files to PLU’s and enhancing the keyboard with images can have
an affect on scale performance. Although there is no limit to the image file
sizes you can use, the larger the resolution of the images used the longer it will
take to open PLU’s or change keyboard pages. This can be overcome by
“optimizing” the images that are used. This issue is explained in a video that is
available on the website.
Image File Types
The image file types supported in the CL7200 are “BMP”, “JPG”, “GIF” and
“PNG”.
Adding PLU Image Files to the Scale (USB method)
Image files can be transferred to the scale using a USB flash drive, the CL-
Works Pro software or by using the FTP method. Only the USB method is
explained here. The other two methods are a little more complex and are
explained in videos available on the website.
1. Create a folder on the USB flash drive named “image”. (don’t use
quotation marks)
