Controlling the Sound of a Performance

Touch Response alters tone volume in accordance with keyboard pressure (press velocity). This
provides you some of the same expression capabilities you get on an acoustic piano.
1.
While holding down FUNCTION, press the F5 keyboard key.
Each press of the keyboard key sounds a tone that lets you know what setting was selected.
2.
Release FUNCTION to complete the setting operation.
Playing with Touch Response
Changing Touch Response Sensitivity
Notification tone Setting type Description
One low tone Off Keyboard pressure does not affect volume.
One high tone Light Easier to produce a louder sound than the Normal
setting, for a lighter feel.
Two high tones Normal Normal Touch Response.
Three high tones Heavy More difficult to produce a louder sound, for a
heavier feel.
