6. Place the turntable into the microwave system. Ensure the turntable is properly seated on the drive lug.
Load and perform a Method
1. View the “Fiber Optic Temperature Control” section for detailed instructions on connecting the ber optic probe
and entering the GF number.
2. Insert the ber optic probe through the open I/O port on top of the microwave cavity and into the control ves-
sel.
• The ber optic probe should slide easily into the thermowell through the frame screw and load disc until the
probe reaches the bottom of the thermowell.
• Do not try forcing the ber optic probe.
• If probe cannot be easily inserted, check vessel alignment. Loosen the screw and realign.
CAUTION
If resistance is felt when trying to insert probe, ensure that the thermowell is not broken inside the Teon
cover. The sharp edges of any break can restrict the movement of the probe.
