Mobile Ultrasound
Before applying the sound head to the patient, you must first prepare the patient’s skin for ultrasound therapy. By properly preparing
the patient’s skin for ultrasound therapy, you will allow more ultrasound energy to reach the targeted areas and reduce the risk of skin
irritation.
To prepare the patient’s skin for ultrasound therapy, do the following:
1. Thoroughly wash the skin on which you intend to place the sound head with mild
soap and water or alcohol wipe.
2. Dry the skin thoroughly.
3. Apply the ultrasound gel generously to the target area on the patient.
