If any error is detected during the self-test, an error message will be displayed on the LED like
the following one:
ROM TEST ERR.
The following table indicates all error messages and the recommended action:

1 ROM TEST ERR. System ROM test failure. Consult your dealer
2 RAM1 ERROR System RAM1 test failure. for assistance in case
3 RAM2 ERROR System RAM2 test failure. of self-test failure.
4 WAVEFORM ERR. Waveform module test failure
5 FRE. TEST ERR. Frequency module test failure
After the self-test is completed, the LEDs will show the current set values of V, F and the
measured value of I, and indicate that the 6430, 6420 or 6415 is ready for use as below:

** WARNING **
Before the instrument is turned on, all protective earth terminals, extension cords, and devices
connected to the instrument must be connected to a protective earth ground. Any interruption of
the protective earth grounding will cause a potential shock hazard.
