Functional & Safety Inspection and Preventative Maintenance
1. Damage Inspection - Unplug Power Cord! Risk of Electrical Shock!
External cabinet is free of damage and secure
Control panel is free of damage and legible
All labels are legible and secure
I.V. Pole Clamp and knob are functional and secure
Bed Hook is functional and secure
Power cord plug is free of damage and secure
Power cord and strain relief are free of damage and secure
Power switch is functional and secure
Hose is free of cuts or punctures
Rubber feet are free of damage and secure
Heater screen is free of damage, unobstructed, and secure
Air filter is free of damage, debris, and is secure
2. Functional Verification
Plug unit into proper voltage outlet and turn the power switch to the
on position, all LEDs should blink twice and the audible beeper sounds
Press all four setting buttons sequentially, the corresponding LED and
audible signal activate
The blower activates when ‘FAN ONLY’ is selected
The blower and the heater activate when selecting a heat setting
3. Temperature Setting Verification
Ensure hose is extended. Place temperature sensor in center of
airstream, flush with the hose fitting. (see Appendix 1 on page 43)
Turn unit on. Set unit on "Low". Run for 5 minutes.

Acceptable temperature range defined in Appendix 1 on page 43.
Set unit on "Medium". Run for 5 minutes.
Record temperature here. _____________

Set unit on "High". Run for 5 minutes.
