  If your Cisco IP Phone resets unexpectedly, several factors could be the cause. First, check for any network connectivity disruptions. If the phone loses contact with the Cisco Unified Communications Manager software, it may reset. Also, a prolonged Layer 2 broadcast storm can cause IP phones to reset. Power issues related to external power and PoE can also lead to unexpected resets. Move the phone away from fluorescent lights, or replace the lights if the display is interacting with certain types of older fluorescent lights.
