This equipment is a class A product and should be used and installed properly
according to the Hungarian EMC Class A requirements (MSZEN55022). Class A
equipment is designed for typical commercial establishments for which special
conditions of installation and protection distance are used.

Site Requirements
When determining where to place the switch, be sure to observe these
requirements:
• For 10/100/1000 ports, cable lengths from the switch to connected devices
are up to 100 meters.
• For 1000BASE-X GBIC ports, cable lengths from the switch to the connected
devices are up to 100 kilometers. For specific cable lengths, refer to the GBIC
documentation.
• For 1000BASE-T GBIC ports, cable lengths from the switch to the connected
devices are up to 100 meters. For specific cable lengths, refer to the GBIC
documentation.
• For GigaStack GBIC ports, cable lengths from the switch to the connected
devices are up to 1 meter. For specific cable lengths, refer to the GigaStack
GBIC documentation.
• Operating environment is within the ranges listed in Appendix A, “Technical
Specifications.”
