changetopositionP or Ntobeinneutral.
Ineithercase,applytheparkingbraketo
immobilisethevehicle,unlessitisprogrammed
inautomaticmode.
If the lever is not in position P,onopeningthe
driver'sdoororapproximately45secondsafter
switchingofftheignitionthereisanaudible
signalandamessageappears:
F movethegearselectortopositionP;the
audiblesignalstopsandthemessage
disappears.
Operating fault
Wheneverparking,youmustapplytheparking
braketoimmobilisethevehicle,ifautomatic
operationhasbeendeactivated.
Parking the vehicle
Inallcircumstances,ensurethatthe
gearselectorisinpositionP before
leavingyourvehicle.
In the event of a fault with the
gearbox,theservicewarninglamp
comesonintheinstrumentpanel,
accompaniedbyamessageandan
audiblesignal.
Inthiscasethegearboxgoesintoback-up
modeandstaysin3
rd
gear.Youmaythenfeel
anoticeablejoltwhengoingfromP to Rand
fromN to R.Thisjoltdoesnotpresentanyrisk
tothegearbox.
Donotexceed60mph(100km/h)whilealso
observinglegalspeedlimits.

qualifiedworkshop.
In the event of a battery failure, use the
chocktoimmobilisethevehicle.
