Thesystemmonitorsthepressuresinthefour
tyres,oncethevehicleismoving.
Itcomparestheinformationgivenbythefour
wheelspeedsensorswithreference values,
which must be reinitialised every time the
tyre pressures are adjusted or a wheel
changed.
Thesystemtriggersanalertassoonasit
detectsadropintheinflationpressureofone
ormoretyres.
Theunder-inflationdetectionsystem
doesnotreplacethevigilanceorthe
responsibilityofthedriver.
Thissystemdoesnotavoidtheneedto
checkthetyrepressures(includingthe
sparewheel)everymonthaswellas
beforealongjourney.
Drivingwithunder-inflatedtyresimpairs
roadholding,extendsbrakingdistances
andcausesprematuretyrewear,
particularlyunderarduouscondition
(highloading,highspeed,longjourney).
Systemwhichautomaticallychecksthepressuresofthetyreswhiledriving.
