ofaCITROËNdealeroraqualifiedworkshop
isessentialwhenreplacingordisconnecting
thebattery.
Unlessotherwiseindicated,checkthesecomponentsinaccordancewiththemanufacturer'sservicescheduleandaccordingtoyourengine.
Otherwise,havethemcheckedbyaCITROËNdealeroraqualifiedworkshop.
Dependingontheenvironment(e.g.dusty
atmosphere)andtheuseofthevehicle(e.g.
citydriving),replace them twice as often if
necessary.
Acloggedpassengercompartmentfiltermay
haveanadverseeffectontheperformance
oftheairconditioningsystemandgenerate
undesirableodours.
Particle filter (Diesel)
The start of saturation of the
particlefilterisindicatedbythe
fixedilluminationofthiswarning
lampaccompaniedbyawarning
message.
Assoonasthetrafficconditionspermit,
regeneratethefilterbydrivingata
speedofatleast40mph(60km/h)until
thewarninglampgoesoff.
Ifthewarninglampstayson,this
indicatesalowadditivelevel.
On a new vehicle, the first particle
filterregenerationoperationsmaybe
accompaniedbya"burning"smell,
whichisperfectlynormal.
Followingprolongedoperationofthe
vehicleatverylowspeedoratidle,
youmay,inexceptionalcircumstances,
noticetheemissionofwatervapourat
theexhaustonacceleration.Thisdoes
not affect the behaviour of the vehicle
ortheenvironment.
