Going into engine START mode
The "ECO"warninglampgoesoff
andtheenginestartsautomatically:
- with a manual gearbox, when you fully
depresstheclutchpedal,
- with an electronic gearbox:
● gearselectorleverinpositionA or M,
whenyoureleasethebrakepedal,
● orgearselectorleverinpositionN
andthebrakepedalreleased,when
youplacethegearselectorleverin
position A or M,
● orwhenyouengagereversegear.
- with an automatic gearbox:
● gearselectorinpositionD or M, when
youreleasethebrakepedal,
● orgearselectorinpositionNandbrake
pedalreleased,whenyouplacethegear
selector in position D or M,
● orwhenyouengagereverse.
STARTmodeisinvokedautomaticallywhen:
- youopenthethedriver'sdoor,
- youunfastenthedriver'sseatbelt,
- thespeedofthevehicleexceeds15mph
(25km/h)withamanualgearbox(2mph
(3km/h)withe-THP130and165petrol
versionsandBlueHDi100,115and
120versions),7mph(11km/h)withan
electronicgearboxand2mph(3km/h)with
anautomaticgearbox,
- theelectricparkingbrakeisbeingapplied,
- somespecialconditions(batterycharge,
enginetemperature,brakingassistance,
ambienttemperature...)wheretheengineis
neededforcontrolofasystem.
Special cases: START invoked
automatically
Ifthesystemhasbeendeactivated
inSTOPmode,theenginerestarts
immediately.
DeactivationofStop&Startisdoneinthe
"Driving assistance"menu.
Deactivation
In this case the "ECO"warninglamp
flashesforafewseconds,thengoes
off.
This operation is perfectly normal.
Pressthisbuttontodeactivatethe
system.
Thisisconfirmedbytheindicator
lampinthebuttonandthissymbol.
Whendrivingonafloodedroad,itis
recommendedthattheStop&Start
functionbedeactivatedandthatyou
driveveryslowly.
