Thesystemmaysufferinterferenceor
notworkcorrectly:
- underconditionsofpoorvisibility
(forexample,snowfall,heavyrain
orthickfog,...),
- ifthewindscreenisdirty,mistedor
obscured(byasticker,...)infrontof
thecamera,
- ifthevehicleisfacinghighly
reflectivesigns.
Thesystemisnotabletodetect:
- roadusersthatdonothavetheir
ownlighting,suchaspedestrians,
- roaduserswhoselightingis
obscured,suchasvehiclesrunning
behindasafetybarrier(ona
motorway,forexample),
- roadusersatthetoporbottomof
asteepslope,ontwistyroads,on
crossroads.
Switching off
F In the "Driving assistance"
menu,pressthebutton,its
indicatorlampgoesoffand
thethesystemchangesto
"automaticilluminationof
headlamps"mode.
Toreactivatethesystem,flashtheheadlamps
again.
Dependingonthe
situation, one of these two
indicatorlampscomeson.
Switching on
F Putthelightingcontrolstalkring
inthe"AUTO"position.
F In the "Driving assistance"
menu,pressthebutton,its
indicatorlampcomeson.
Operation
- dippedbeamismaintained,this
indicatorlampcomesoninthe
instrumentpanel.
F Flashtheheadlamps
(goingbeyondthepoint
of resistance) to activate
thefunction.
Oncethefunctionisactivated,thesystem
operatesasfollows:
Iftheambientlightlevelisverylowandthe
trafficconditionspermit:
- mainbeamcomeson
automatically:thisindicatorlamp
comesonintheinstrumentpanel.
Iftheambientlightlevelissufficientand/orif
thetrafficconditionsdonotallowilluminationof
themainbeamheadlamps:
Pause
Ifthesituationrequiresachangeofheadlamp
beam,thedrivercantakeoveratanytime.
F Flashingtheheadlamps
againpausesthe
functionandthe
systemchangesto
"automaticillumination
ofheadlamps"mode:
- iftheAUTOindicatorlampwasonin
green,thesystemchangestomain
beam,
- iftheAUTOindicatorlampwasonin
blue,thesystemchangestodipped
beam.
