Special position of the
windscreen wipers
Tomaintaintheeffectivenessofthe
"flat-blade"typeofwiperblades,itis
advisableto:
- handlethemwithcare,
- cleanthemregularlyusingsoapy
water,
- avoidusingthemtoretain
cardboardonthewindscreen,
- replacethematthefirstsignsof
wear.
Thispositionpermitsreleaseofthewindscreen
wiperblades.
Itisusedforcleaningorreplacementofthe
blades.Itcanalsobeuseful,inwinter,to
detachthebladesfromthewindscreen.
Donotcovertherainsensor,linkedwith
thesunshinesensorandlocatedinthe
centreofthewindscreenbehindtherear
viewmirror.
Switchofftheautomaticrainsensitive
wiperswhenusinganautomaticcarwash.
Inwinter,itisadvisabletowaituntilthe
windscreeniscompletelyclearofice
beforeactivatingtheautomaticrain
sensitivewipers.
Operating fault
Ifafaultoccurswiththeautomaticrain
sensitive wipers, the wipers will operate in
intermittentmode.
HaveitcheckedbyCITROËNdealerora
qualifiedworkshop.
Onswitchingofftheignition:
F anyactiononthewiperstalkintheminute
afterswitchingofftheignitionplacesthe
bladesverticallyonthescreen.
Whenthesystemisnolongerpowered-atleast
oneminuteafterswitchingofftheignition-itis
possibletomovethearmsmanually.
F Toparkthebladesagain,switchonthe
ignitionandoperatethewiperstalk.
Replacementofthearmsmustonly
bedonebyaCITROËNdealerora
qualifiedworkshop.
