Topping up the engine oil level
Refertothe"Petrolengine"or"Dieselengine"
section for the location of the oil filler cap in the
enginecompartmentofyourvehicle.
F Unscrew the oil filler cap to reveal the filler
aperture.
F Addoilinsmallquantities,avoidingany
spillsonenginecomponents(riskoffire).
F Waitafewminutesbeforecheckingthe
levelagainusingthedipstick.
F Addmoreoilifnecessary.
F Aftercheckingthelevel,carefullyrefitthe
oilfillercapandthedipstickinitstube.
Engine oil change
Refertothemanufacturer'sserviceschedule
fordetailsoftheintervalforthisoperation.
Inordertomaintainthereliabilityoftheengine
andemissioncontrolsystem,neveruse
additivesintheengineoil.
Aftertoppinguptheoil,thecheckwhen
switchingontheignitionwiththeoil
levelindicatorintheinstrumentpanel
isnotvalidduringthe30minutesafter
toppingup.

Beforetopping-uptheoilorchangingtheoil,
checkthattheoilisthecorrectgradeforyour
engineandconformstothemanufacturer's
recommendations.
