Removing and Installing a Processor
Processor Removal Procedure
1. Turn off the computer, turn it over, and remove the battery (page 2 - 5), component bay cover (page 2 - 6) and
RAM (page 2 - 11).
2. The CPU heat sink will be visible at point (Figure 9a).
3. Remove screws - from the heat sink unit in the order indicated on the label (i.e screw first through to
screw last Figure 9b)
.
4. Carefully (it may be hot) remove the heat sink unit (Figure 9c).
