How to troubleshoot main power problems in ClimateMaster Heat Pump?
    • G
      Glen NixonAug 18, 2025
If the green status LED is off on your ClimateMaster Heat Pump, check the line voltage circuit breaker and disconnect. Also, check for line voltage between L1 and L2 on the contactor, 24VAC between R and C on CXM/DXM2, and the primary/secondary voltage on the transformer.

How do I troubleshoot Condensate Fault Code 6 on my ClimateMaster Tranquility TSV 009 Heat Pump?
    • J
      James Cole MDAug 20, 2025
If your ClimateMaster Heat Pump shows Condensate Fault Code 6, check for blockage and clean the drain. Inspect the trap dimensions and ensure its location is ahead of the vent. Verify the piping slope is away from the unit and check the slope of the unit toward the outlet. Ensure proper venting by checking the vent location. Also, check for moisture shorting to the air coil and replace the air filter. If there is restricted return air flow, find and eliminate the restriction, and increase the return duct and/or grille size.

What to do if my ClimateMaster Tranquility TSV 009 Heat Pump shows HP Fault Code 2 High Pressure?
    • D
      David McleanAug 23, 2025
If your ClimateMaster Heat Pump displays a High Pressure fault (Code 2), the issue might stem from several causes. If cooling, check the pump or valve operation/setting and ensure proper water flow. Make sure the water temperature is within the specified range for cooling. If heating, inspect the air filter and clean or replace if dirty. Also, examine the fan motor operation for any airflow restrictions. Ensure the air coil is clean and that the external static pressure aligns with the blower table. Verify that the return air temperature is within the design parameters, and check superheat/subcooling against the typical operating condition table. Finally, check the switch continuity and operation, replacing if necessary.

What causes LP/LOC Fault Code 3 Low Pressure / Loss of Charge in ClimateMaster Tranquility TSV 009?
    • J
      Jasmine JonesAug 26, 2025
If your ClimateMaster Heat Pump shows a Low Pressure/Loss of Charge fault (Code 3), it may be due to insufficient charge. Check for refrigerant leaks. Also, check the charge and start-up water flow.

What does Over/Under Voltage Code 7 mean on my ClimateMaster Heat Pump?
    • A
      April RomanAug 27, 2025
If your ClimateMaster Heat Pump displays an Over/Under Voltage fault (Code 7), check the power supply and 24VAC voltage, both before and during operation. Inspect the power supply wire size. Consider whether a hard start kit is needed for the compressor. Also, check the 24VAC and unit transformer tap for correct power supply voltage. This applies to both undervoltage and overvoltage scenarios.

How to fix LT1 Fault Code 4 Water coil low temperature limit in ClimateMaster Heat Pump?
    • B
      Beth MillerAug 30, 2025
If your ClimateMaster Heat Pump displays a Water coil low temperature limit fault (LT1 Fault Code 4), it could be due to several reasons. If heating, check the pump operation or water valve operation/setting for reduced or no water flow. Ensure that the strainer or filter is not plugged, clean or replace if necessary. Also, check and adjust the water flow to the proper rate. If using antifreeze, check the antifreeze density with a hydrometer. If needed, clip the JW3 jumper for antifreeze (10°F [-12°C]) use. Ensure the water temperature is within the design parameters and check the temperature and impedance correlation per the chart.

What causes LT2 Fault Code 5 Air coil low temperature limit in ClimateMaster Tranquility TSV 009 Heat Pump?
    • D
      David FlynnSep 1, 2025
If your ClimateMaster Heat Pump displays an Air coil low temperature limit fault (LT2 Fault Code 5), check for a dirty air filter and clean or replace it if necessary. Verify the fan motor operation and airflow isn't restricted. Also, check the external static pressure against the blower table. If the air temperature is out of range, ensure that the entering air temperature is within design parameters. If the temperature limit setting is improper (30°F vs 10°F [-1°C vs -12°C]), note that normal airside applications will require 30°F [-1°C] only. Finally, check the temperature and impedance correlation per the chart.

Why does my ClimateMaster Tranquility TSV 009 unit short cycle?
    • T
      Tim RodriguezSep 3, 2025
If your ClimateMaster Heat Pump is short cycling, start by checking and cleaning the air filter. Also, ensure the unit isn't in 'test mode'; if it is, reset the power or wait 20 minutes for it to automatically exit. Check the sizing for the actual load of the space. Finally, check the compressor overload and replace if necessary.
  • T
    Thomas NelsonSep 5, 2025
Why does only the fan run on my ClimateMaster Tranquility TSV 009?
    • J
      Jeffrey WilsonSep 5, 2025
If only the fan is running on your ClimateMaster Heat Pump, first ensure the thermostat is set for heating or cooling operation. Check for any lockout codes and reset the power. Inspect the compressor overload and replace if necessary. Finally, check the thermostat wiring at the heat pump, jumpering Y and R for compressor operation in test mode.

What does Unit Performance Sentinel Code 8 mean for ClimateMaster Heat Pump?
    • A
      Andrew GarrettSep 8, 2025
If your ClimateMaster Heat Pump displays Unit Performance Sentinel Code 8, it could indicate a few issues. If in heating mode and LT2 is greater than 125°F [52°C], check for poor air flow or an overcharged unit. If in cooling mode and LT1 is greater than 125°F [52°C] or LT2 is less than 40ºF [4ºC], check for poor water flow or air flow.
