TROUBLESHOOTING
Please read this user manual carefully before using the CAD15 In-Car DAB Adapter. If you still have
difficulties to use this unit, this section gives some of the most likely solutions to the problems you
might have.
Q: I cannot find any DAB stations.
Ensure that DAB coverage exists in your area. Please visit www.worlddab.org or
www.digitalradionow.com to check for DAB coverage.
Q: I cannot hear DAB program when I start up my car and turn on the car radio.
Check the following:
1. Make sure CAD15 FM transmitting frequency and the car radio’s listening FM frequency are
set to the same FM frequency.
2. Make sure that the car radio is not in mute and check the volume settings of the car radio.
3. Make sure CAD15 is not in the Audio Streaming mode, if so, press and hold MODE to return to
DAB mode.
Q: While listening to a DAB station, I lost reception suddenly and hear static noise or a FM program
1. Check the DAB signal strength for the listening station on the top left corner of the screen, you
may be leaving the signal coverage area for that DAB station, please tune to another station,
also, the station may be unavailable temporarily as you drive into a tunnel.
2. Check CAD15’s FM transmitting frequency (displays on the screen) and the car radio’s listening
FM frequency. If they are in sync, the FM transmitting frequency for CAD15 maybe
interfered by a local FM station, you can force immediate change of FM frequency by
press and hold the LINK key. If you are operating in AutoScan mode instead of AFC
mode, you must also tune you car radio’s
FM receiving frequency to match CAD15’s new FM
transmitting frequency. If they are out of sync, tune the car radio’s FM frequency to match
CAD15’s FM transmitting frequency.
Q: I cannot hear audio from the Bluetooth Audio Streaming
1. Check the setup and ensure the following:
a) Enable Bluetooth from your mobile device.
b) Enable Bluetooth from CAD15’s menu setting.
c) Start Bluetooth paring from CAD15’s menu setting
d) Search and connect to CAD15 from your mobile device
e) Once connected, ensure CAD15 Bluetooth device’s Media Audio setting is checked on
your mobile device.
f) Start playing the audio from your mobile device.
