In case you notice non-functioning of a safety
device, ask for help to C.M.C. Service.
The following are the safety devices available to the
user, in order to understand the behavior of the ma-
chine and the possible work sequences:
A - Electrical devices
• Removable key for the MEWP start.
• Battery switch.
• Electronic control board.
• Emergency buttons on the control stations.
• Microswitch which block the outriggers controls
when the boom and the pantograph have been
lifted and extended.
• Microswitch for outriggers end-of-stroke.
• Basket levelling maneuver only allowed when
the MEWP aerial part is in rest position (tele-
scopic boom on its support).
• Overloading protection fuses, both on power cir-
cuit and control circuit.
• All the machine controls need the presence and
voluntary action of the operator.
▪ Interlock outriggers-boom maneuver:
- block of the manoeuvres of the MEWP aer-
ial part when this is not stabilized;
- block of the manoeuvres of outriggers re-
turn/extraction when the MEWP aerial part
is not in rest position.
• Warning light - machine stabilized.
• Warning light - electrical supply of the MEWP.
• Warning light – consensus for aerial part use.
• Load cell.
• Moment limiter.
• Emergency bypass.
• Electropump*.
B - Hydraulic devices
• Pressure relief valves for the protection of the
entire hydraulic circuit and the individual parts of
the system.
• Block valve and parachute valve mounted on the
lifting cylinders.
• Manual pump for emergency operations.
• Oil flow adjuster for the control of the descent
speed.
C - Mechanical devices
• Hydraulically controlled negative disc brakes.
• 1,10 m height border guardrail on the basket.
• Mobile bar for access to the basket with gravity
closing.
• Basket with safety belts anchorages.
• Mechanical blocking system of turret rotation.
